It seems too many times today coaches spend not enough time teaching kids how to play basketball. If a child's skill level isn't right then time needs to be spent to correct the problem. So many kids today don't even have the fundamentals down, nor do they know enough about them. It is a coach’s job to TEACH.

A coach needs to use constant reinforcement of the fundamental skills of basketball to develop young players. If this is done then these players will benefit greatly in their future athletic careers
