College Letters of Intent - How to Rate?

   It has been said that for every 50 letters an athlete receives from college coaches in the month of sept of their junior year, it may only translate to 2-3 college athletic offers. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is this true? If this is true then certainly no letters by this point in the journey is a sign that the sport is not for your child, but is there any thought on the other end?
